They have many different types of pastry here. The buns are soft and freshly made.

Chocolate Chip topping filled with light cream cheese.

We had a great time throughout our meal at this cafe. It was very comfortable and the food was really good and tasty. Besides, the price of the meals are also reasonable with a fair portion serving. This would be a place that we highly recommend to everyone !

MOF Japanese Cafe

We were in the mood for something sweet the other day and decided to stop by at MOF Japanese Cafe.
MOF, short for Ministry of Food is a Japanese style restaurant which serves salad, bentos, sandwiches, and coffee, but they are well known for their desserts. Their ingrediants are fully imported from Japan.

Look at the variety of ice cream flavours to choose from !

The ambience of the restaurant was alright. It had
some of the desserts we ordered :

black sesame ice cream with japanese dumpling

vanilla and matcha ice cream topped with fruits

the matcha has a very powdery feel to it that we weren't used to but the vanilla ice cream was nice. the fruits were pretty fresh.

mochi with red bean paste.

the dessert was good but the servings were small and it was a little pricey. If you are one that has a love for Japanese desserts, this place would be suitable.

Da Tou Steamboat

Steamboat, is also known as hot pot. There are many varieties to what kind of soup you can have : tom yam, chicken soup or porridge. You 'dump' the ingredients into the soup and let it cook. The usual ingredients used are fish balls, noodles, vegetables, different types of meat, corn and so on.

We went to Da Tou Steamboat, a place located in Kepong. Here, people can enjoy eating steamboat at a cheap price. RM 11 ++ per person. Try their porridge based steamboat, its one of their specialty. It opens from 5pm to 12am everyday.

A picture of the owner of the place. Da Tou Steamboat has been opened for 7 years. Why is it called Da Tou? The owner explained that he named his shop after his given nickname by his friends.

corn, bean curd, several different types of fish balls, 'fu-chok', vegetables, prawns and many more.

here, we have 'yee-mee', 'bi hun' and eggs.

this is called the yin-yang, where there is tom yam on one side and chicken soup on the other.

A porridge-based steamboat.

As seen from our happy faces, we were contented with our meal. Be warned that the tom yam is a little spicy. You can get soup refills with no additional charge. It is usually packed during weekends so be sure to call up the place and make a reservation before you go.
